CONDITIONS OF SALE AND GENERAL TRADING TERMS

 We should like our customers to know that we are a friendly company and it is in everyone’s best interest to know how we wish to trade with them and let them know at the onset how they stand with us.

ORDERS

We are always delighted to receive an order. To avoid any misunderstandings we should like to have all orders properly confirmed. Either by means of an official purchase order from a business, or by having our own form signed in the case of private customers.

QUOTATIONS AND AMMENDMENTS TO ORDERS

Where things tend to go wrong is when the customer asks for changes to be made after the job has commenced. In such circumstances where changes increase cost we will have to charge you for them and we will inform you of that at the time the changes are requested. If after any legal cancellation period has expired and we have to cancel an order then we reserve the right to charge for any expense so incurred.  Also order cancellations may incur further charges proportional to work already carried out on that order.

GUARANTEES

All goods supplied by us will be covered by the manufacturers’ guarantees; this does not include light bulbs, which are not covered by a guarantee.

We guarantee work carried out by our fitters for twelve months from the date of installation and any repairs required after this time will incur additional costs dependant on the nature of the repair.  We do not accept any responsibility for any work or modifications carried out by a third party.

TITLE OF GOODS

The title to our goods will not pass to a customer until payment has been made for them in full. In case of non-payment, Crown Kitchens Direct Ltd shall be entitled to repossess, or trace the proceeds of sale, or the goods, from the liquidator, receiver or customer. During the time before full payment is made and title has not passed over to you, our goods will be held at the customer’s risk from the date of delivery, and the customer will be responsible for insurance.

TERMS OF PAYMENT

Under normal circumstances customers are required to pay a deposit in advance. If Crown Kitchens Direct Ltd are fitting the furniture then a further remittance is payable on delivery with a final balance payable on completion. In the case of supply only orders the final balance is payable on delivery. All interim payments and final payments are to be made either by Bankers Draft, Building Society Cheque or cash. All personal cheques are payable a minimum of five days in advance.

DELIVERY AND ORDER COMPLETION DATES

We try hard to be realistic about delivery or order completion dates given. It is not possible for us to guarantee any date. Therefore we cannot be held responsible for any consequential loss arising out of late delivery or failure to complete work on a specified date.

GOODS RETURNED FOR CREDIT

We are unable to accept the return of goods for credit unless we have agreed in writing to do so.

DEFECTIVE GOODS

Any goods agreed by us to be defective will be replaced or credited to a customer free of charge, but no customer’s claim shall exceed the values of the goods in question. No claim for labour charges, other expenses or consequential loss is allowed, except where so determined by a court of law.
